Set in a far flung alternate future where the world's major governments have established a joint world order and mega corporations dictate the world, you play as Maxim Williams, a disgraced police detective-turned private investigator.
Maxim must use his skills to uncover the mystery behind his best friend's sudden disappearance, and uncover a broader, more sinister plot occurring behind the scenes.
Explore and shoot your way through 6 action packed levels to uncover the mystery!
Every shot counts! Enemies take more damage when you shoot them in critical spots! "Short Hop" to line up the perfect headshot!
Use Maxim's adrenaline and dodge projectile shots at the right moment to trigger his hyper focus and slowdown enemies around him! Oh yeah, that's got upgrades!
With 7 different guns available for purchase, you'll have many options to take out hostiles with the right tools for the job.
Buy weapon upgrades that affect damage, fire rate and magazine size of your weapons. Your enemies are tough: You need to be tougher!
Note: This game was built with game pad controllers in Mind. An Xbox Controller (or similar X-Input device) is needed for optimal play. Adding keyboard support has been added, but will need additional tweaking.
Minimum: Note: This'll get the game to run, but not much else. Laptops/Netbooks with shared GPUs will experience performance issues & aren't supported.
OS: Windows 10 64-Bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 @2.40 Ghz or AMD Phenom II x4 @ 3.00 Ghz
Memory: 4 GB
Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 750
Storage: 300 MB available space
Sound Card: Yes.
Recommended: Note: This is the optimal experience based on my own dev Machine. You should have no issues with 60 FPS gaming with the below. I have no data on AMD graphics, so if you have one, & experience issues, let me know.
Requirement: A full and up to date Visual C++ installation from Microsoft updates. More details below in the basic troubleshooting section.
Special Message from Abstract
Yo, it's Abstract,
In this vertical slice demo, there are features that are still in development, but I wanted to give everyone a chance to play this and off initial feedback. I spent a good year putting together the underlying systems part time while working my day job. This was needed so building the rest of the game will be even smoother as all there's left to do is design levels, and flesh out all the features (like in game shop and all ability upgrades).
I hope people can see the potential and the overall vision I have for this product and I thank you profusely for checking this out and providing support for a new indie game dev to the scene.
From Abstract Red Studio, we hope you enjoy this vertical slice demo! Please leave a comment if you enjoyed this! Also happy to answer any questions about this game!
I'm receiving an error stating that MSVCPXXX.dll is missing! What do I do?
This error is caused by not having all appropriate Visual C++ Redistributable packages installed from Microsoft. You will need to possibly reinstall these packages or manually place the suggested missing file(s) in the correct windows directory to solve the problem. Ensuring you have the distro packages from 2005 to present is required.
Note: There are unofficial sources pages that have every distro available from 2005 to present, but we won't link those here.
Help! The game is crashing to desktop when I try to run this!
This is also caused by not having all appropriate Visual C++ Redistributable packages installed from Microsoft. As suggested by the previous entry, please ensure your Visual C++ installation from Microsoft is installed and all files are in tact.
Additionally, this can be caused by Windows permission related issues with write access to your local drive. If you don't know how Windows permission options work, try moving the installation to your local drive (C:\).
Installation Instructions: Click on "EdenGammaGame-0.3.0.2.exe" and run as admin to install the game and all dependencies. If all dependencies are installed, you can run "EdenGamma.exe" in "Eden Gamma Prototype Build v.0.3.0.2 - Build Only".
Read the provided "readme" file for controls information.
Great work! I love the music so much! The pixel art is well done and suits the theme and tone of the gameplay and the guns are a lot of fun to play with! I can't wait to see what else you do with the enemies as they get more intelligent! Nice job with the sewer boss!
Could it possibly benefit from a stamina bar? your call.
Hey! Thank you so much for checking this out! Yeah, I can’t wait to get the rest of the guns programmed in!
I’ve been debating on if I should add a stamina bar in the early phases, but they’re tricky to implement without impacting the fun factor. So, we shall see.
